I was recently commissioned by Fannie Mae to join Serve360, their community engagement initiative, on a playground build at Wonderspring Powelton Village, an early childcare center that serves a largely economically disadvantaged population in West Philadelphia. Through Serve360, Fannie Mae provides their employees with ten hours of paid volunteer leave per month to perform volunteer work in their own communities. For this project, dozens of Serve360 volunteers worked with a qualified team of tradespeople and builders to build the playground in a single day for Wonderspring.
